Scott is a Certified Athletic Therapist recognized by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. After graduation from Sheridan College with a degree in Applied Health Sciences specializing in the assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injury, Scott has pursued a career in helping individuals meet and maintain their health and fitness goals with a focus on injury management and prevention.
Scott has a wealth of experience working with a number of elite level athletes from leagues such as the NHL, MLB, NLL and CFL. He has also held positions with professional teams in Vancouver such as the BC Lions football club and Vancouver Whitecaps women’s soccer club. Most notably, Scott served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Vancouver Giants hockey club where he developed a strong passion and understanding in head injury management and prevention. Most recently, Scott was named the Director of Rehabilitation for the West Vancouver Hockey Academy where he oversees the injury management for all of the athletes enrolled in the program.
Scott’s previous experience, and his development of a Master’s degree research proposal in the area of head injury in contact sports have led him to a position of sharing his knowledge with others. On top of his clinical practice, as an injury rehabilitation specialist, he presents an informative, educational seminar to individuals and small groups on the dangers of head injury and the immediate treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of such pathology. Scott is an experienced expert in providing pain relief of both acute and chronic injury throughout the musculoskeletal system. Using innovative manual techniques, exercise rehabilitation and customized bracing for optimal joint protection, Scott can help anyone manage their pain and quickly return to their desired activities. Scott specializes in spinal and pelvic realignment as well as unique treatment and consultation for head and neck injury.
